Amazing first ever MeasureCamp Croatia!
MeasureCamp Croatia 2024 was truly a game-changer for marketing and analytics experts in Split.
On Saturday 18th May, the Mediterranean Institute for Life Research (MedILS) hosted Croatia’s first-ever MeasureCamp, which brought together digital marketing and analytics professionals from around the globe.
With the ability for anyone to sign up as a speaker, the slots for the initial 28 sessions filled up in less than two minutes! To accommodate the high demand, we added two more rooms, bringing the total to 37 sessions in just one day. As Ivan Frančešević, one of the organizers from SeekandHit noted, “we expected a lot of sessions but weren’t prepared for the need to open two more rooms.”
The event’s timing – a Saturday – ensured that participants were genuinely interested, not just attending for a free day off work. This dedication was evident, with around 140 participants showing up, nearly half from outside Croatia. Topics covered included artificial intelligence in digital marketing, data privacy, marketing automation, and data tracking. These discussions highlighted that Croatia’s analytics scene is on par with global trends.
“This event showcases the potential and expertise Croatian companies have in digital marketing and analytics. The innovative data processing and tracking solutions presented here significantly interested international participants,” said Zorin Radovančević, another organizer and founder of Escape agency.
But, everything relies on collaboration and community focus.
The journey to MeasureCamp Croatia began in 2019, with plans to host it at MedILS. However, the pandemic put these plans on hold until this year. By the end of 2023, the agencies Escape, Degordian, SeekandHit, and later Casumo, joined forces to bring to reality the organization of such an event, as Hrvoje Pilić, organizer from Degordian told.
Buoyed by the success of this first event, we are already planning the second edition.
“This success motivates us to organize an even bigger and better MeasureCamp next year. We want to continue encouraging innovation and knowledge sharing in our community,” concluded Ivan Frančešević.
Overall, the inaugural MeasureCamp Croatia was a resounding success, proving that Croatia has much to offer the global digital marketing and analytics community. We look forward to future editions of this unique conference, which promises to keep pushing the boundaries of knowledge and innovation in the industry.
