  1. What is MeasureCamp?

First held in London in 2012, MeasureCamp is an “unconference” for the digital analytics industry. As of 2024, the conference has been hosted in more than 20 cities worldwide.

Driven by the desire to share knowledge among industry peers, this unconference, has become the gathering point for experts in digital analytics, advertising, and tracking. Attendees gather to learn new concepts, discuss key industry topics, share experiences, exchange ideas, find solutions to everyday challenges, and nFurthermore, due to its increasing popularity, tickets to the conference are quickly claimed, often within minutes of being made available.

You can learn more about MeasureCamp on the main measurecamp.org site. We also encourage you to watch the “This is MeasureCamp” video produced by MeasureCamp London – it is a great introduction into the immersive experience!

  1. What is an unconference?

An unconference represents a departure from the traditional conference format, with fewer rigid rules in place. Unlike conventional conferences, the emphasis is on participatory engagement rather than passive attendance.

At its core, an unconference aims at fostering knowledge sharing. Attendees are not mere spectators but active participants in shaping the event’s agenda. There are no pre-scheduled keynote speakers or sponsored pitches; instead, the agenda evolves organically based on the interests and contributions of participants.

Unconferences are conceived to stimulate discussions and the exchange of ideas, offering an alternative to the more formal, lecture-oriented format of traditional conferences. MeasureCamp embodies this principle through its small-group discussions and participant-driven schedule.

By empowering attendees to steer the conversation, MeasureCamp provides a unique platform for learning, growth, and networking among peers. While some may question whether this format works, many attendees confirm its effectiveness in facilitating meaningful information exchange.

We invite you to join us and experience the power of this collaborative approach firsthand!

  1. Who attends MeasureCamp?

Attended by the best in the analytics industry from senior level client and agency side to those just starting out, the event can be an invaluable part of your continuing learning. Whether on the first run of the career ladder or nearer the top,MeasureCamp is inclusive. It is an open forum in which you have the chance to share best practices, learn about something new or discuss key issues facing the analytics industry. Widely regarded as the best analytics conference, with the best content, tickets are snapped up in seconds on release and people travel from all over the world to attend.

  1. Is the conference in English?

The official communication before and during the event will be in English only. Due to the significant number of international attendees we always recommend to speakers to run their sessions in English, while sessions can also be in Croatian.

  1. What to expect on the day

Each MeasureCamp is unique, and no two conferences are the same. However, certain aspects are common across all conferences, and we’ve compiled them into a MeasureCamp guide to help you stay on track during the event.

  1. Who can present and what to share?

Everyone is welcome to present at MeasureCamp! As an unconference, anyone can lead a discussion, workshop, or presentation on topics related to digital analytics, marketing, or tracking.

You can either bring along a polished presentation prepared beforehand or improvise during the session itself. The format of an unconference session is 100% flexible, so feel free to unleash your creativity.

If you encounter a problem, don’t hesitate to bring it up; perhaps someone else has faced a similar challenge and can offer a solution. Likewise, if you have an idea to share or want to brainstorm on a topic, seize the opportunity. The success of the event hinges on active participation.

Many attendees initially arrive at MeasureCamp uncertain about presenting but end up gaining a whole new perspective by diving into a topic. We encourage you to embrace bravery and share your insights. Your struggles may resonate with others, and your innovative ideas may spark inspiration.

Once you’ve determined the content and structure of your session, selecting the appropriate room or space is essential. We offer rooms of various sizes and configurations to accommodate different session needs.

While there aren’t many rules or requests regarding sessions, we kindly ask session leaders to take notes for later sharing with the community. Your contributions help enrich the collective learning experience at MeasureCamp.

  1. Food and Drinks

At MeasureCamp, our focus extends beyond knowledge-sharing sessions. Between sessions, there’s time to enjoy refreshments, grab a bite to eat, and mingle with peers and fellow participants. We offer free lunch and beverages throughout the event, ensuring you’re fueled for the day’s activities.

Additionally, following the event, we host a drinks and dinner reception at Plan B backbar, providing the perfect opportunity for further networking.

  1. Arriving at the venue

MedILS – the Mediterranean Institute for Life Sciences is located at the lung of Split, Marjan Park.

The address is Šetalište Ivana Meštrovića, 45, 21000 Split

Transport

Split isn’t a very big city, and we like to say that you can reach every spot in about 20 minutes (which is more or less true 😄). Getting around in Split, we recommend either going by car, bus, or maybe riding a city bike.

Going by car, we recommend taking an Uber, since the classic taxi is often quite expensive. If you plan to use the bus, tickets cost 1€ (when purchased at a kiosk) or 2€ (from the driver). You can view the bus routes here and access the interactive map that shows the bus locations at the moment. For more information on buses, Split Promet is the company you’re looking for.

To reach the Mediterranean Institute for Life Sciences (MedILS), in our opinion, the best way is by car (we recommend Uber or Bolt) or by bus (Line 12).

Parking

Some parking slots are available at MedILS. However, there are not many of them, so we recommend using Uber or getting there by bus.
